Anupam Kher (natural March 7/June 17, 1955) is an actor in Hindi films in India. He has acted within about 200 Hindi films. He mass produced his acting debut in the 1984 Hindi movie Saaransh (The Gist). He has likewise hosted TV shows such as Say Na Something To Anupam Uncle and Sawaal Dus Crore Ka He also served whilst a chairwoman of the Indian censor board till recently, when he was replaced by Sharmila Tagore.

He is an alumnus of National School of Drama (1978 batch) and late its director, between 2001 and 2004.

He is married to Kiron Kher and has one boy, Sikander Kher, who is an actor.

    Awards
    He has won a Filmfare award 8 times. His foremost Filmfare award was for his 1st film Saaransh. He was too critically acclaimed for his function within Daddy.

    Inside 2004, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India for his contribution to Indian cinema.
